Page5.de presents: “Boost to Vid” tournament series.

The Warmachine & Hordes community is growing every year. The past 2 years has seen the coverage of big events grow as well. In 2015, Page5.de wants to bring the community in Germany and Europe closer together.

Page5.de wants to do this kind of coverage for German and international events. The WTC 2014 in Poland was one of the biggest WM/H events worldwide and we covered that via our social media channels. In 2015, this event will take place in Ireland. We will be there as well.

In order to do that we need more and better equipment. Cameras. Microphones. Sound mixing equipment. Tripods. We want to expand. This is where you, the community comes in. We need your help.

To finance this endeavour we are running a series of tournaments, starting in February. It is called “Boost to Vid” and there will be 5 tournaments in total: Four qualifiers and one finals tournament.

These are the dates:

February 14 – Team tournament. 16 Teams of 3 players. 4 rounds.
March 21/22– Singleplayer. 32 players. 5 rounds. 2 days.
April 25 – Team tournament. 16 Teams of 3 players. 4 rounds.
June 20/21 – Singleplayer. 32 players. 5 rounds. 2 days.

The Grand Finale – August 22nd. 16 qualified players. 4 rounds. 1 day.

Additionally, we will be running another 16 player tournament parallel to the Grand Finale. With beer. And burgers.

The winning teams of the team tournaments + the top 3 from each single player event + 1 special award from each tournament qualify for the final tournament – 16 spots total.

Registering for these events is done via www.tabletoptournaments.net – the links to each tournament are at the bottom of this message. We have a special landing page at Page5.de where payment for the tournaments is handled (link also at the bottom).

Entry fee for each event (except the finals) is 20€. 5€ are for event organisation and extensive price support. 15€ are slated for “Schmerzi”, our lovable hobo Agonizer mascot! Here you can see him holding his hat. This drawing is courtesy of Florian Stitz Illustration.

The funds we raise via the tournaments and “Schmerzi” will be put towards aquiring new equipment. Which in turn will be used to cover the Heavy Metal Dayz, the German Masters, ClogCon and the WTC.

Live!

Yes. Live. We will also invest in streaming technology, so that we can stream certain games live to the community.

We need approx. 3.500€. Thanks to a very generous contribution from Ulisses Spiele GmbH we are already part way there. We want to raise the rest of the money through the “Boost to Vid” tournament series and with the help of “Schmerzi”.

Every player is welcome at the tournaments. It doesn’t matter if you are a new player or a veteran. We do these tournaments for the community. The games we record will be made available to everyone.
